AVIAN Success Story

Introduction

AVIAN is a capital solutions provider specializing in both commercial and business jet aircraft expendable parts and rotable/repairable components. Beyond offering many of the same services as traditional parts distributors, AVIAN provides working capital solutions to airlines, OEMs, MROs, and asset owners by unlocking the value trapped in their surplus aerospace parts, components, and other assets like engines, landing gear, APUs, and nacelles. They use that inventory more efficiently to free up capital so that it can be redeployed into growth initiatives.

But what truly sets AVIAN apart is its sales infrastructure. Rather than relying on a single internal sales team to efficiently sell all types of inventory, AVIAN operates as a platform through which multiple industry-leading and market-specific sales channel partners (SCPs) access and sell from a collective inventory pool.

“It's not just a single AVIAN team selling your material. We have multiple sales teams actively searching through and selling from our systems globally. This model creates a powerful commercial advantage. But it also demands an equally powerful technological foundation to make it work at scale.”

Mike Cruz, Sr. Data Engineer and Head of IT Operations, AVIAN

Challenges

In its early stages, AVIAN's sales model was constrained by manual processes the company knew it needed to quickly move away from:

  • Inventory reports were shared as exported spreadsheets

  • Sales Channel Partners lacked full 24/7 visibility into available stock

  • Orders were coordinated manually, by phone or email

Each point of friction slowed the sales cycle. In a fast-moving aftermarket environment, speed wins deals, and every delay in communication meant missed opportunities.

AVIAN knew it had the right business model. What it needed was execution capacity: deep Salesforce expertise, Apex development, and AvSight-specific integration experience that went well beyond a generalist skillset.

They needed a partner who could bridge that gap with speed and efficiency.

Solution

The starting point was clear: build a customer-facing portal to power AVIAN's partner-driven sales model.

Working with Prodigy, AVIAN designed and deployed a portal that allows channel partners to:

  • Search inventory in real time

  • Identify available parts instantly

  • Place orders directly through the system

  • Trigger sales orders automatically

  • Initiate repair or inquiry workflows where required

This quickly removed the dependency on spreadsheets and manual coordination, replacing it with a clean, transactional workflow inside the system.

As AVIAN grew, Prodigy evolved alongside them, supporting expansions, delivering enhancements, and adapting the platform to new operational requirements. This included:

  • Expanding the platform across multiple locations as AVIAN grew globally into Australia

  • Ensuring region-specific data visibility and presentation

  • Continuously refining workflows as the business scales

Impact

The impact was immediate and commercially significant.

Today, the portal gives channel partners real-time access to AVIAN's full inventory position across two continents, with tens of thousands of inventory lines searchable and transactable at any moment. By stripping friction out of the buying process, AVIAN unlocked faster transactions and stronger partner engagement.

“The fewer steps you put between a customer and the right product, the better.”

Key outcomes have included:

  • Increased sales velocity

  • Stronger, more engaged partner relationships

  • Reduced reliance on manual communication

  • Scalable infrastructure ready to support continued growth

“Someone else could sell the part while you're still trying to coordinate the transaction. Speed is extremely important, and the collaboration with Prodigy has helped that tremendously.”

The portal is now a core part of AVIAN's operating model, enabling its multi-channel sales strategy to function effectively at scale.

On Working with Prodigy

For AVIAN, Prodigy has become more than a vendor. They operate as a seamless extension of the internal team.

Confidence matters enormously in a technical partnership, and it is something AVIAN found early with Prodigy.

“There's a level of intellectual integrity. When you speak to them, you know they understand what they're talking about. It feels like you're speaking to a member of your own team.”

From a technical perspective, this was critical. AVIAN needed a partner who could operate at a high level within Salesforce and AvSight and deliver without friction. Beyond capability, the working relationship stands out:

  • Strong communication and responsiveness

  • Deep technical expertise

  • Collaborative, low-friction engagement

As AVIAN continues to scale, Prodigy remains a key partner in that growth.

“We're growing quickly, and we're not slowing down. We're pleased to have an organization like Prodigy with us along the way.”

AVIAN has already recommended Prodigy to partners within its own network, reinforcing the strength of the relationship and the value delivered.
